Our mathematics instruction is based on teaching the concrete, pictorial, and abstract understanding of math so that students will be able to conceptually understand mathematical algorithms and apply math in real world problems.

Math Resources: Campbell-Savona Elementary utilizes several different resources to meet the needs of our students.

-New York State Math Modules

As students move to the Jr./Sr. high school, they begin moving from class to class in a department-style structure with subject-specific teachers. 7th and 8th grade students are still primarily assessed by the NYS Math tests. Students with exceptional math skills have the opportunity to take accelerated math courses, with the chance to begin Algebra as 8th graders, receiving a HS credit and completing a regents credit.
