Happy New Year 2016 to all of the Campbell-Savona Community!

A New Year is a chance to reflect, a time to look back on the recently completed year and to look forward with excitement and hope to the new beginnings the New Year brings.  At this time of year, some of us make New Year’s Resolutions…easier to make than to keep!   And all of us look forward to what is positive and possible about the upcoming year.

The Campbell-Savona Junior –Senior High School welcomed a new Interim Principal on January 26.  Dave Warren, a retired high school principal from Watkins Glen, was appointed by the BOE to serve as interim principal until the District completes the recruitment process for our next appointed Junior-Senior High School Principal.

Dave comes to us with 38 years of experience as an educator. He taught math first in the Bradford District and then in Watkins Glen. For the last 12 years of his career, he served as a principal in the Watkins Glen School District.

In addition to his many years of experience, Dave also brings with him a passion for working with young people, sharing after his first day how much fun it was to be “back working with kids”.

Parents of students in the junior-senior high school should have received an introductory letter from Dave in a recent email. He has shared that he looks forward to meeting parents and community members over the next few months and that his main goal is to “be of any help that I can at a very difficult time for the school community”.
